The non-profit community action agency offers many services, including financial aid. There are funds for first paying a portion of months’ rent or a security deposit, water connection assistance, free work clothes, and more. Assistance from CAP can stop homelessness, foreclosures, and evictions, and the money for rent, utilities, or a mortgage can make this happen. ​ (mainly for low income households; however, available for emergency situations) ​

Only Greene County families with children can get financial help, including for rent, food, and more. The assistance will also cover single moms and dads if applicable. Government grants can help with rent for people leaving a shelter or overcrowded home.
